Can I keep my damaged parts?
At the discretion of the company, all damaged parts are either picked up by our salvage dealer or disposed of by the repair facility. This eliminates the hassle for you to dispose of parts which need to be recycled. Most parts don't go into the trash and are disposed of according to the most current New York State Vehicle Codes. You are more than welcome to see the parts that have been replaced though, just ask!
Do I need an appointment for an estimate?
No. Drive in your vehicle or have it towed to our facility. Never drive a vehicle that could be unsafe due to damages though. We will gladly help arrange for your car or truck to be picked up from your house or impound lot and brought to Vernon Auto Repair. We will perform as estimate as timely as we can.
How long will it take to get a completed estimate?
Typically a thorough estimate can be performed in on the spot. Some minor repairs can be estimated the same day. Depending on the time you visit we may take up to 30 minutes to provide you a detailed estimate depending on the issues.
What information do I need?
Insurance company name, customer contact information with phone number, and a claim number is all we need to ensure a smooth and fast repair process.
Do you charge for estimates?
If we perform the work to fix your vehicle, the estimate is free. If you do not plan on us repairing your vehicle or take it out of the facility, we do charge one hour of technician labor regardless of the actual time it takes to do the estimate.
